The Ministry of Environment, together with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), convened national and provincial stakeholders to advance the implementation of the ๐ฆ๐๐๐๐+ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ท๐ฒ๐ฐ๐.
The meeting included remarks from ๐.๐. ๐๐ผ๐ฝ ๐ฅ๐ผ๐น๐, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Environment, ๐ ๐. ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ธ๐ฎ๐ต ๐๐ฒ๐น๐น, FAO Representative in Cambodia, and ๐ ๐ฟ. ๐ฆ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ ๐๐ผ๐ป๐ด, Director of the Department of Climate Change and National Project Manager of ๐ฆ๐๐๐๐+.
Launched by the Royal Government of Cambodia in February 2026, the SCALE+ Project, โ๐๐๐ถ๐น๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐น๐ถ๐บ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐๐ผ๐บ๐บ๐๐ป๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ฒ๐ ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ฎ๐บ๐ฏ๐ผ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ฎโ๐ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ต๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ด๐ต ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐๐-๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฑ๐น๐ ๐๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฝโ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐๐๐ผ๐ฐ๐ธ ๐ฆ๐๐๐๐ฒ๐บ๐,โ focuses on strengthening climate resilience across key protected landscapes, including Boeung Per Wildlife Sanctuary and Prey Lang Wildlife Sanctuary. These landscapes support hundreds of thousands of people who depend on forests, agriculture, and natural resources for their livelihoods, while also playing a critical role in conserving biodiversity and ecosystem services.
Implemented by the Ministry of Environment in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF), the project is supported technically by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and financially by the ๐๐น๐ผ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐น ๐๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ป๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐๐ (๐๐๐).
The project will benefit more than ๐ด๐ฐ,๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฌ people, at least ๐ฑ๐ฌ ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ป๐ of whom are ๐๐๐๐๐, while restoring ๐ต๐ฎ,๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ of community-protected areas and rehabilitating ๐ฎ,๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐น๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ. Through biodiversity-friendly agriculture, sustainable land management, and ecosystem restoration, the project is helping strengthen resilient livelihoods and climate adaptation across Preah Vihear, Siem Reap, and Kampong Thom provinces.
