On 7th June 2022, H.E. Tin Ponlok led the discussion on the post COP 26 proceedings at the Ministry of Environment. The meeting focused specifically on the outcomes of the meeting including five COP26 initiatives: promoting clean technology (energy, road transportation, steel, hydrogen and agriculture), declaration on land use and forestry, methane commitment, transition to electric vehicles and greening government operations.

At the meeting, the technical side of the COP26 initiatives was discussed and especially the greening government operations in buildings initiative raised questions. The recommendation given by the meeting was to consult all relevant ministries on the technical, social-economic, and environmental aspects of these initiatives. Following the meeting recommendations, a report will be prepared for the Minister of Environment on the initiatives and a letter sent to Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister to encourage to support these initiatives.
