On 14 March 2025, consultation meeting with the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans, and Youth Rehabilitation (MoSVY) regarding child protection for NDC 3.0. The meeting, facilitated by UNICEF, aimed to critically review the policies and objectives of the Child Protection sector as well as to establish priorities moving forward.

The following are the key outcomes and next steps from the meeting:

- MoSVY expressed interest in NDC 3.0 but raised concerns about the separation of social protection and child protection, particularly regarding the support from the two agencies, GIZ and UNICEF.

 - MoSVY requested assistance from GIZ to develop social protection measures; however, up to now, GIZ has not met their focal point for social protection, Mr. Tola. MoSVY plans to meet GSPC seperately.

- UNICEF proposed seven measures for discussion, but MoSVY will review these internally before providing approval on the draft measures.

- MoSVY intends to arrange a meeting with the MoE to discuss various activities that have been undertaken so far, beyond social and child protection, which should be incorporated into NDC 3.0.

-The next technical meeting is scheduled for March 21, 2025.
