A workshop on Awareness Raising on Religions and Climate Change was organized on 17th March 2023 in the MoE. The event aimed to engage and improve the understanding of religious leaders and practitioners about climate change related issues and to foster important roles that the religions in Cambodia have in order to encourage all to join climate action.

The event was presided over by H.E. Tin Ponlok, Secretary of State of the MoE, and H.E. Ke Sam Oeun, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Religion and Cults and the participants were  religious leaders (Buddhists, Christians, Muslims, and the others).The workshop highlighted the existing practices and roles of religions to guide people related to climate  issues, particularly in terms of behavioral change in application of sustainable solutions.
