From 12-15 June 2024, the CCCA3 and DCC staff attended the Consultative Workshop on the Strategic Plan Development of the General Directorate of Policy and Strategy (GDPS) 2024-2028 in Siem Reap province. The workshop was presided over by H.E. Chuop Paris, Secretary of State, Ministry of Environment and H.E. Kop Roly, Under Secretary of State, Ministry of Environment with the participation of the GDPS staff, provincial environmental department and other relevant stakeholders. The workshop aimed to gather inputs from five respective Departments under the GDPS to form a comprehensive GDPS strategic plan and action.

At the workshop, the draft GDPS strategic plan 2024-2028, including climate change response, was presented and shared, with some suggestions on modifying some key words to align with pentagonal strategy. Each department under GDPS will raise their strategic and action plans for 2024-2028. The meeting reviewed the previous year's strategic plan along with some suggestions to modify some key words to align with the pentangular strategy. Moreover, the participant mentioned about the human resource needs, capacity strengthening and coordination skills especially among the development partners. On the other hand, the meeting agreed to review based on the input and comments from the chair of the meeting to collect the draft of each group discussion and finalize for further decision by the management. The draft strategic plan was also requested to incorporate the need of human resource, capacity strengthening and coordination skill especially among the development partners.
