The Climate Economic Growth Impact Model (CEGIM) is the product of the collaborative study done by the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), the Ministry of Environment and the National Council for Sustainable Development (NCSD) with the financial and technical support by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the European Union and Sweden. The model is a fundamental tool to scientifically compute estimates of the impact of climate change on Cambodia’s economic development in the medium and long terms. It enables the Royal Government of Cambodia, development partners and other key stakeholders to rigorously quantify the impact of climate change and provides evidence and support in developing more realistic and effective policy options, strategies and programs to sustain its long-term progress and ensure optimal outcomes.
