On 04 March 2025, The General Directorate of Strategy and Planning, Ministry of Environment held a meeting regarding the waste sector with representatives from the waste and air pollution departments. The meeting included participation from the NDC project team, UNDP, and consultant on waste (Sevea).

The key outcomes and next steps from the meeting:

- The NDC 3.0 process was presented and discussed.

- A Telegram group was created for easier communication among team members.

- The consultant (Sevea) will share the draft stakeholder mapping with the MoE regarding waste.

- The MoE/waste department will validate the pending stakeholder mapping.

- The date for the next meetings, including the stakeholder meeting, will be determined in due course.

- The waste department will share recent policies and strategic plans with the consultant to aid in developing precise draft measures prior to the stakeholder meeting.
