On 11th November 2022, Dr. Hak Mao, DCC's Director, and DCC representatives, participated in a forum on “NDC implementation in Asia: South-Southeast Learning and Launching of CACCI-ASIA” organized by the NDC Partnership, USAID IFPRI, and Tajikistan alongside with COP27, Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. The forum aimed to strengthen regional cooperation and knowledge exchange and identify prioritized actions to mobilize financial support to address climate change. Dr. Hak Mao shared his experiences about Cambodian context in the development of national strategic plans and policies in response to climate change, including the BUR, NAP, INDC, Updated NDC and LTS4CN and the online tracking system. He stressed that to achieve these ultimate goals, Cambodia needs more support in funding, and capacity building. The cooperation with national and international institutions, development partners, educational institutions, and the private sector was also highlighted by him. He summarized that the success of these policies and strategic plans depends on political will, peace, and resources, and support provided.
