Cambodia has become a member of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), which is an international environmental treaty, since 1996. The UNFCCC holds its Conference of the Parties (CoP) annually with an aim at stabilizing greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere at a level that would prevent dangerous anthropogenic interference with the climate system. This year, CoP has reached the 18^th session which is organized from 26 November to 7 December 2012 at the Qatar National Convention Centre in Doha, Qatar.
