1-Implemented quick impact projects funded by the Embassy of India in Cambodia three projects include: a/ Project to promote eco-tourism activities in Phat Sanday Eco-Tourism Community, located in Phat Sanday Commune, Kampong Svay District, Kampong Thom Province, which is currently approximately 40% implemented. b/ Project to promote tourism development in the Toul Poen Ta Ley community, Boeung Sweet, located in Theay commune, Ba Phnom district, Prey Veng province, and c/ The project to develop a mobile app to promote the promotion of potential and products in the tourism and eco-tourism community across the country has currently achieved approximately 35% implementation. 2-Organized two food safety and hygiene training courses for tourism communities, including: Toul Poen Talay Eco-Tourism Community, Boeung Sweten and Meanchey Agricultural Community, with a total of 52 trainees (20 female). 2-Organized two food safety and hygiene training courses for tourism communities, including: Toul Poen Talay Eco-Tourism Community, Boeung Sne and Meanchey Agricultural Community, with a total of 52 trainees (20 female). 3-Participated in organizing two major programs, including: a floating program and a symbolic fish release program to celebrate the 8th River Festival 2024 in Siem Reap. 4-Prepared a draft guideline on “Model Tourism Villages” and presented it at a consultation workshop in Siem Reap with 150 participants. 5-Organized a commemorative tree planting program to celebrate the 11th Sea Festival 2024 under the theme "Celebrating the Heritage and Sustainability of Coastal Areas" with a total of 300 participants. 6-Ecological system restoration program for sustainable development in the Tonle Sap region, Siem Reap Kulen scenic area, under the coordination of UNDP and the Ministry of Environment (a) Progress Report on the Achievement of Cambodia's Sustainable Development Goals 2016-2030 (b) Policy on Older Persons 2017-2030(c) Documents for the review of Cambodia's trade policy under the World Trade Organization (WTO) framework. 7- Collaborated with the Forestry Products Exchange Organization (NTFP-EP) and WWF, implementing key work results including: (a) Preparation of a Visit Mekong map to connect sightseeing products and tourism services from Kratie Province, Stung Treng Province and Laos (b) Prepare a master plan for the management of the Koh Samseb Eco-Tourism Community, Kratie Province, and the Koh Preah Eco-Tourism Community, Stung Treng Province, and (c) prepare guidelines on the construction and development of eco-tourism communities in the Upper Mekong region. 8-Completed the Tourism Infrastructure Development Project for Sustainable Growth in the Greater Mekong Subregion, Phase 2 (2nd GMS TIIG 3701-CAM (COL). The project focuses on (a) Infrastructure: Implemented by the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, including landfills, Kep coastal road 12.75 km long, and Koh Tonsay tourist port (b). ASEAN Tourism Standards: Implementation of 5 standards Including clean city standards, green hotel standards, public toilet standards, community housing standards, and tourism community standards. (c) Tourism sector: Organization of institutions for managing tourism destinations, operations, and management, which work has been achieved. Including updating the Coastal Province Tourism Development Committee, the current coastal province tourism development plan for 2021-2025, the coastal province tourism marketing plan for 2023-2025, and preparing to install 30 coastal code of conduct panels. 9-Organized a seminar on the southern region under the theme of green tourism investment “Green Tourism Investment” For 2024, with 200 participants. 10-Prepared a book on investment potential in the tourism sector in each capital and province. 11-Prepared a feasibility study for the Kampong Phluk Eco-Tourism Community Development Project. 12-Organized the “Youth and Clean Cities” campaign to raise awareness about hygiene and cleanliness among businessmen and citizens with the goal of attracting tourism in 4 provinces: Siem Reap, Kampong Thom, Kampot, and Koh Kong, with a total of 146 participants. 13-Organized the “Clean Cambodia, Green Cambodia” campaign to celebrate the 8th River Festival under the theme “Rivers for Peace and Development” in Siem Reap province and to increase the attractiveness of the tourist destination of Koh Sdach, Kiri Sakor district, Koh Kong province. 14-Organized activities to promote cleanliness, hygiene, and greenness to celebrate the 11th Sea Festival under the theme: “Celebrating the Heritage and Sustainability of the Coastal Zone” in Kampot Province. 15-River Ocean Cleanup Co-organized the 7th World Cleanup Day 2024 with the River Ocean Cleanup organization in each capital and province. 16-Organize training courses for 22 communities recognized as tourism and ecotourism communities, totaling over 800 people. 17-Organize a training course on the skills of "Community-level tourist guides" for 62 members of the Kampong Roling Souvenir Tourism Community, 43 of whom are women, located in Kampong Roling Village, Sambour Meas Sangkat, Kampong Cham City, Kampong Cham Province. 18-Organize a meeting on “Updating tourism and ecotourism communities nationwide”. 19-Collaborated with the provincial administrations of Kampong Cham and Battambang to prepare Kampong Cham and Battambang as smoke-free tourist cities in order to participate in the implementation of the law on tobacco product control. And protect the safety and health of tourists from the effects of cigarette smoke, and participate in transforming the tourist city into a more attractive, clean and safe tourist destination. Official announcement ceremony “Smoke-free Tourism Cities” in Kampong Cham and Battambang were held under the chairmanship of H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism. 20-Promote the spirit of tobacco-free sports through collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports to prepare guidelines on From "Tobacco-Free Sports" with the aim of promoting the attractiveness and strengthening the relationship between the sports and tourism sectors, based on the concept of "Sports support tourism, tourism supports sports". 21-The implementation of smoke-free environment activities in the tourism sector in accordance with the WHO FCTC and - was appreciated by the Southeast Asia Tobacco Control Coalition (SEATCA) with an office in Thailand, by awarding the “Tobacco Control Champion Award”. To the Ministry of Tourism, of which only two countries have received this award: the Ministry of Tourism of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Thailand. This is the second time that the Ministry of Tourism has received an award from an international organization. In fact, in 2022, the Ministry of Tourism also received the "World No Tobacco Day" award from the World Health Organization. 22-Sharing successful experiences in implementing smoke-free environments in the tourism sector through the participation of His Excellency Hor Sarun, Secretary of State of the 33-Ministry of Tourism, at the World No Tobacco Day celebration on the topic of“Protecting Children from Tobacco Products and E-Cigarettes” and in an international webinar on the topic of “Successful Implementation of Smoke-Free Laws and Environments”. 23-Prepared and implemented Instruction No. 013 Sanon on “Strengthening the implementation of smoke-free environments for tobacco products and prohibitive measures for owners or managers of tourism service business establishments” of the Ministry of TourismDated December 4, 2024, to continue to strengthen the implementation of the Law on Tobacco Product Control and related legal regulations to be more effective and ensure clean, safe tourism that does not affect health due to tobacco products. 24-Educational and outreach workshops on promoting gender equality The Ministry of Tourism organized 6 educational and outreach workshops in Takeo, Kratie, Siem Reap, Banteay Meanchey, Kampong Cham, and Prey Veng provinces, with a total of 1,000 participants. 629 people, including 408 women, equivalent to 64.86%, focusing on the topics of "Promoting social ethics and women's values in the tourism sector" and "Promoting gender equality in the tourism sector"“Women and Green Development in Tourism” and “Promoting the Rights, Roles, and Values of Women in Tourism”. 25-Organized and conducted awareness campaigns on sanitation, environment and solid waste disposal in Krava commune, Baray district, Kampong Thom province, at 04 locations: (a) Hun Sen Krava High School, (b) Khemaram Wat (Krava Temple), (c) Krava Market and (d) Krava Commune School, with a total of 436 participants.
