50 Bengs, a luxury-grade tree species, were planted in Sok An Phnom Kulen Center for Orchid Research and Conservation on June 30, 2020. The event led by H.E Chea Chanthou, Deputy Secretary-General of National Council for Sustainable Development (NCSD) and Dr. Hak Mao, Director of DCC, and participated by Siem Reap provincial department of environment officers, forest rangers, DCC staffs and representatives from UNDP totaled 50 participants, including 16 females. The center visit and tree planting were organized after the staff retreat of DCC from 29-30 June 2020. In this occasion, H.E. Chan Somaly, Deputy Secretary-General of NCSD requested DCC to support planting more trees as a hedge of the center and in building the 3 main reservoirs for water use purposes during the dry season.
